Commands

Send /help to the bot for the list of its commands.

Command	What it does
`/help`	Lists the commands.
`/vmstart`	Starts a VM or container.
`/vmshutdown`	Shuts down a VM or container cleanly.
`/vmstop`	Stops a VM or container at once, as pulling the plug.
`/vmreset`	Resets a VM.

/start, the first message Telegram sends to a new bot, greets you with the node the bot is connected to and the same list.

How a conversation works

A command is a message that starts with /. Many commands need more than the name: the bot then asks, and waits for your answer.

When the choice is among things that exist (a guest, a node, a value of the API path), the bot shows buttons: tap one.
When it needs free text (a parameter value, the name of an alias), it asks and you type the answer.

Each chat has one command in progress at a time. A message that does not start with / is the answer to the command in progress; if no command is waiting, the bot replies with the list of commands. Sending a new command drops the one in progress.

VMs and containers

/vmstart shows the guests that are stopped; /vmshutdown, /vmstop and /vmreset show those that are running. Only guests on nodes that are online are offered, as buttons with ID and name, one group per node:

The action starts when you tap the button: there is no second confirmation. The answer tells you Proxmox VE accepted the request, not that the guest has already changed state; if it refuses, the answer is Error: with its reason.

/vmreset works on VMs only: a container cannot be reset.

/nodereboot and /nodeshutdown show the nodes that are online:
